The C-type hook should be scrapped in one of the following situations:

1. Cracks;

2. The wear of the dangerous section reaches 10% of the original size;

3. The opening is increased by 15% compared with the original size;

4. The torsional deformation of the hook body exceeds 10°;

5. The dangerous section of the C-type hook or the plastic deformation of the hook neck;

6. The thread of the hook is corroded;

7. When the hook bush wear reaches 50% of the original size, the bush should be replaced;

8. When the wear of the hook mandrel reaches 5% of the original size, the mandrel should be replaced.

Safety inspection of C-type hook

1. For the hooks used in the human-driven lifting mechanism, the test is carried out with 1.5 times the rated load as the inspection load.

2. The hook used for the power-driven lifting mechanism is tested with twice the rated load as the inspection load.

3. After the hook is removed from the inspection load, there should be no obvious defects and deformations, and the increase in opening should not exceed 0.25% of the original size.

4. For hooks that pass the inspection, marks should be printed on the low-stress area of the hook, including rated lifting capacity, factory standard or name, inspection mark, production number, etc.
